My Turn To Serve
Being asked to do pro bono projects is part of many service oriented professions. I take them when I'm able and when I feel they fit with my own principles. But, quite honestly, I also view them as an opportunity to be more creative than I get a chance to be with many paid projects.
Such was the case when a friend of a friend emailed me asking for a favor on a philanthropic project her son was involved in - a tennis tournament to raise money for underprivileged kids. They already had the name, they just needed a logo that would look great on promotional handouts and posters.
I grabbed a couple tennis balls my dog wasn't using, put them together side by side on my desk and saw the perfect logo come to life before my eyes.
Advantage kids!
